Looks like they inadvertently got the ‘sacrifice your son’ part right. Mehmet’s 13-yea-old son, Heval Yildirim, was standing on the street when his dad’s sacrificial goat plummeted to its death. The goat landed on the boy, killing him as well.
“I am devastated but what more can I say?” he said, according to the Mirror. “In fact, there is nothing at all to say. Even the prosecutor has said this incident could be the first of its kind around the world.”
In other words, he sets the bar for stupid until someone one ups him.
